Inconel 718 Bolts for Extreme Environments

DIN 912 718 bolts are high-performance socket head cap screws made from Alloy 718 (also known as Inconel 718 or UNS N07718).

They are designed for extreme environments where standard steel or stainless steel fasteners would fail due to heat, pressure, or corrosion.

  1. Technical Specifications Dimensional Standard: Follows DIN 912 (or the equivalent ISO 4762), featuring a cylindrical head with an internal hexagonal drive. Material Standard: Typically manufactured to ASTM B637 or ASTM A1014 specifications. Key Identification: Often marked with UNS N07718 or Werkstoff Number 2.4668.
  2. Material Properties Alloy 718 is a precipitation-hardening nickel-chromium alloy that offers exceptional strength and stability: Extreme Strength: It is approximately twice as strong as Alloy 625, with a typical tensile strength of 185–220 ksi (approx. 1275 MPa) and a yield strength of 150–175 ksi (approx. 1034 MPa).
  3. Temperature Range: Maintains high strength from cryogenic temperatures up to 1300°F (700°C).
  4. Corrosion Resistance: Highly resistant to oxidation, many acids, and chloride/sulfide stress corrosion cracking, making it compliant with NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 for sour gas environments.
